Rules for Abstract Submission

  • Abstracts must be submitted online via the website or Email only.
  • Abstracts must be received by the announced deadline. Abstracts received after the deadline will not be considered.
  • The same person may submit up to 4 abstracts regardless of the presenting author.
  • The same person may serve as presenting author on up to 4 abstracts.
  • Presenting authors must be registered participants. Only abstracts of authors who have paid their registration fees by the Early Registration Deadline will be scheduled for presentation and included for publication.
  • Submission of an abstract acknowledges your acceptance for the abstract to be published in the official Jaknews publications.
  • The presenting author is required to ensure that all co-authors are aware of the content of the abstract and agree to its submission, before submitting the abstract.
  • Abstracts must be submitted in English.
  • Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest: Abstract submitters will be required to disclose any conflict of interests in the submission form.
  • Instructions for preparation of presentations will be made available on the congress website.
  • All accepted and registered abstracts will be published in the peer-reviewed Journal Acta Neurologica Indonesiana.
  • Withdrawal requests are permitted until the published deadline. However, not all withdrawals will be reflected in print or online publications depending on when the withdrawal request is made. Withdrawal requests should be submitted to email jaknews.com and include the abstract title, ID number, and the presenter's name. Authors should also provide reasoning for the withdrawal. Authors who do not notify Jaknews of withdrawal, notify Jaknews after the deadline, or do not provide a reason for withdrawal will be subject to sanctions. Your payment will not be refunded if you withdraw your abstract.
  • Abstracts will be rejected without review for the following reasons:
    • Abstracts received after the submission deadline.
    • Incomplete submissions and/or incomplete disclosure statement(s).
    • Instructions for submitted abstracts must be followed completely. Abstracts that do not conform to the prescribed rules will be rejected.
  • All participants whose abstract is accepted must submit the required E-Poster.
  • Selected participants for oral presentations must submit both E-Poster and the PowerPoint presentation file.
  • The use of generative AI is prohibited for generating content in abstracts. However, it is permissible to use it for proofreading and editing the language of already written abstracts.

Guidelines for Abstract Submission

  1. Abstract themes can be drawn from all branches of knowledge in Neurology and can be in the form of research or case reports.
  2. Abstract should contain an original material not published at the time of submission.
  3. Every first letter in the abstract title is written in capital letters, for example: "The Effect of Hyponatremia on the Outcome of Tuberculosis Meningitis".
  4. Abstract must be submitted in English.
  5. Research abstract must contain:
    • Background
    • Method
    • Result
    • Discussion
    • Conclusion
    • Keywords
  6. Case report abstract must contain:
    • Background
    • Case Summary
    • Discussion
    • Conclusion
    • Keywords
  7. The full abstract text must be more than 100 words but may not exceed 250 words.
  8. All abbreviations must be defined the first time they appear in the text. e.g: Modified Rankin Scale (mRS). Do not define abbreviations in the title.
  9. Use generic drug names. The presentation must be balanced and contain no commercial promotional content.
  10. Submissions may not contain patient names, hospital ID numbers or other identifying information.
  11. Tables, charts or other graphics are not allowed.
  12. The JakNews 12 committee is allowed to administer minor edits without changing the original content.
  13. The author who will present must ensure that all co-authors have approved the contents and its submission to JakNews 12 before the submission.
  14. Abstracts are required to be submitted between February 3rd, 2025 to March 7th, 2025 at 23.59 WIB (GMT+7).

Abstract Submitter's Declaration

During abstract submission you will be asked to confirm that you agree to the following:
  1. I confirm that I previewed this abstract and that all information is correct. I accept that the content of this abstract cannot be modified or corrected after final submission and I am aware that it will be published as submitted.
  2. Submission of the abstract constitutes the consent of all authors to publication (e.g. Congress website, programmes, other promotions, etc.)
  3. The Abstract Submitter warrants and represents that no part of the information and content provided by him/her (Hereafter: the "Content") to Jaknews (together: the "Organizers"), nor the publication of any such Content by each of the Organizers, on the internet or otherwise infringes any third party rights, including but not limited to privacy rights and/or intellectual property rights.
  4. The Abstract Submitter grants each of the Organizers the license and right to use, reproduce, publish, translate, distribute, and display the Content or any part thereof, in any manner and on any platform or media whatsoever, in each Organizer's absolute discretion, on a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable nonexclusive basis.
  5. I herewith confirm that the contact details saved in this system are those of the presenting author, who will be notified about the status of the abstract. The presenting author is responsible for informing the other authors about the status of the abstract. The submitting author may request to be copied on the abstract correspondence.
  6. I understand that the presenting author must be a registered participant.
  7. The Organizers reserve the right to remove from publication and/or presentation an abstract which does not comply with the above.
  8. I confirm to have received the consent of all authors for the processing of their contact details by Jaknews.
  9. The submitting author certifies that all authors have disclosed any potential financial or non-financial conflicts of interest related to the content of the abstract.
